Welcome to the Studio Journal!

I’m really grateful you’re here.
Most days begin the same way for me… I'm holding a warm cup of black coffee, the news humming softly in the background, and my two dogs resting at my feet, while I sit and think about what the day might hold.
It’s quiet in those moments. Gentle. And almost without thinking, I soon reach for my yarn.
There’s something about picking it up, the yarn, the hook, or the needles, that brings me back to myself. It steadies me.
Recently, somewhere in those quiet starts, I realized I wanted a place to hold these moments. The thoughts that come and go while I’m working through a piece. The feelings that don’t always make it into the finished work, but are still woven into it all the same.
This journal is that space.
A place for the soft, steady rhythm of creating. For what I’m learning… and what I’m slowly letting go of. For pieces still becoming, and the ones that eventually find their way into someone else’s hands.
I don’t just want to share what’s finished. I want to share the in-between… The time it takes, the patience it asks for, and the quiet meaning that settles into every stitch.
Because this has never only been about making or selling for me...
It’s about creating connection. It’s about healing. It’s about creating something in a world that often moves too fast to hold onto anything real.
This space is a small window into my studio, into my hands, my thoughts, and the stories carried within each piece.
Some of what I share and create here will make its way into the shop or a market. Some of it will stay right here. Some pieces are meant simply to exist in the process... and that matters just as much.
I’m still finding my way through it all, and I think that’s part of the beauty of it....
So truly, I’m grateful you’re here.
With Love,
Alyse Lorynne
